Faerie Tale Lancelot
Lancelot was part of our foundation herd, he came as a cria at foot with one of our herd matriarchs, Melisandre. He will be 5 years old as of June this year (2025).
Lancelot is a firm favourite with our walking customers with his fluffy ears and gentle nature.
He is very timid and we've spent a good deal of time trying to work out how best to handle him to ensure he feels safe. A recent revelation has changed our interactions with him completely. One day when haltering I was singing and found it completely calmed him. He was then paired with a sensitive handler on a walk who really paid attention to his needs and had a wonderful understanding of how to be gentle and respectful of a nervous animal and for the first time in his life Lancelot confidently (or at least a little more boldly) took the lead on a walk.
So I'd say he needs gentle and sensitive handling to bring out his best and if you don't feel too silly singing to him, he'd love it. He even accepted a stroke after a song.
He has been a steady part of our team of walking boys for a few years now but we're ready to bring on our homegrown boys. He's haltered and lead trained.
He is listed as non-breeding but not gelded, microchipped, BAS registered, comes with medical history and is fully up to date with husbandry and vaccinations.
Part of a package.
