Family Alpaca Experience & Hand Feeding
A unique family experience
Service Description
A unique opportunity to meet our herd up close in their paddock. On arrival we'll introduce you to our herd (each with their own unique personalities!) and share some information about alpacas and how we take care of them. There'll be time to spend engaging with the alpacas, hand feeding them and of course plenty of photo opportunities. Older children with a responsible adult can lead the alpacas on a short walk around the paddock (see Alpaca Trekking for our longer walks for those age 10+). You are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy at one of our picnic benches by our rustic outdoor shelter, The Hideout, with views across the wetlands, woodlands and surrounding countryside. We often have cria (babies) of all ages on the farm and you'll likely get to see them during your visit. Duration: 60 mins (plus option to stay on for cuppa/picnic at the end) Age suitability: Under 10s (see our Alpaca Trekking for over 10s) Cost: £40 per family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) Facilities: Composting toilets, hand washing, tea making station, seating and picnic benches in The Hideout Closed shoes and long trousers recommended to be in our paddocks.
