Service Description

For the first time ever, we’ll be opening up the farm this summer for pop-up farm tours. Are you perhaps interested in off-grid living? Are you eager to find out how to make this dream a reality? Perhaps you’re wanting to learn about animal keeping? Or interested in living more sustainably and growing your own food? or maybe even just keen for a walk out in nature to see the alpacas. The tour will include: - brief meet and greet with the alpacas - walk through our newly planted woodland (what was once was an ex rubbish dump, now rewilded for nature) - wander past the bee hives - meet the chickens - overview of the site history and ecology, including our wetland habitat and natural spring - wander into our ancient woodland via the giant ant hills (always a favourite for the children) - paddle in the stream (and if you want to, take some of our natural clay home for pottery making) - ask questions about off-grid living, including the planning permission process, compost loos, energy etc (we have no electric here)! The exchange is £15 per adult and £5 per child and the experience lasts approximately 2 hours.
