Alpaca Trekking

A unique opportunity to meet our walking boys up close before heading out on a beautiful walk with your own alpaca through our newly planted woodland with stunning views across the countryside.

On arrival we'll introduce you to our herd (each with their own unique personality!) and share some information about alpacas and how we take care of them. We'll also share some health and safety guidance and tips on handling and leading respectfully.

We'll then take them on a walk around our 28 acres of land exploring tracks that meander through our newly planted woodlands and around the open wetlands.

We'll then head to The Hideout where you can help yourself to a nice complimentary hot drink.

We often have cria (babies) on the farm and you'll likely get to see them during your visit.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Emma Hayward

We visited the farm for a festive alpaca walk. We were greeted with a warm welcome and introduced to the alpacas. We walked the friendly boys down to a lovely area and roasted marshmallows around a campfire and enjoyed hot chocolate. The alpacas also had a feed before we walked them back up to their field. Great for families and animal lovers, we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for a lovely festive afternoon

We had a lovely time at the farm this morning walking and feeding the alpacas! We learned so much and really enjoyed the experience which was relaxed and in lovely surroundings. To be able to see the cria at just a few days old doing zoomies around the field was priceless.

A fabulous afternoon Alpaca Trekking at Hideaway Wood Farm on Saturday. Amy & Carly’s friendly informative guidance on individual alpacas characters ensured a relaxed, fun, safe & joyous time was spent in the company of these amazing animals. Feeding them afterwards revealed their characters, so amusing, the ‘icing on the cake’ to a perfect, uplifting, fun afternoon. Looking forward to my next visit & adopting one. Highly recommend!
