Get creative at Hideaway Wood Farm
Our alpaca workshops combine time at the farm with relaxed, creative activities inspired by our alpacas and their fleece.
They are designed to be informal, hands-on and enjoyable, with no previous experience needed.
Depending on the workshop, you may spend time meeting the alpacas, learning more about their fleece and behaviour, and creating something to take home with you.
Workshops can include

​Needle Felting
Learn the basics of needle felting using alpaca fibre and create your own small felted piece to take home.

Wet Felting
Discover how alpaca fibre can be transformed using traditional wet-felting techniques and create your own handmade piece.
​​
Painting with the Alpacas
Enjoy a relaxed creative session at the farm, painting in the company of the alpacas and taking inspiration from the animals and surroundings.

Seasonal Workshops
Throughout the year we may also offer seasonal alpaca-themed craft sessions, including Christmas, Halloween and other special events.

Our workshops are suitable for a range of ages and abilities, depending on the activity.

Some workshops are aimed at adults, while others are suitable for families, children or mixed-age groups.

A relaxed farm setting

Workshops take place at Hideaway Wood Farm near Daventry.
Our aim is to keep sessions relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, spend time with the aops as and enjoy the farm.

Please wear sturdy walking shoes/boot and long trousers and dress for the weather.

The farm is not yet fully wheelchair accessible and some areas have uneven ground. We are always happy to discuss individual accessibility needs and explore whether we can adapt an experience to make a visit possible.​
