Crusoe

Crusoe was born here on the farm in 2023.

 

We had him in with the big boys and found he was being bullied by our stud so for his wellbeing we moved him into a paddock with our newly weaned little 10 month old boys and he has taken to the role of uncle beautifully.

 

We started training up our homegrown boys when they were around 15 months old and Crusoe took a little longer to get comfortable with the idea of the halter. It's still not his favourite thing in the world but he loves going on walks so we persevere with ways to make it easier for him. He's steady on a walk and I trust him with younger and older customers who need a calm alpaca.​

He's a gentle, shy alpaca who would slot into a herd of gelded males or similarly gentle souls.

 

Sadly we can't keep all of our alpacas and so Crusoe is available as part of a package for sale (could consider being added to an existing herd with discussion).

He is currently listed with BAS with the option to either register him as breeding or non-breeding, in tact, microchipped, comes with medical history and is fully up to date with husbandry and vaccinations. ​
