C-S Alpacas Naomi

Naomi was part of our foundation herd. She will be 14 years old in May of this year (2026).

 

Naomi is of Peruvian import and Bozedown descent. There are no show winners in her lineage but what she lacks in awards she more than makes up for in character. She remains a firm favourite with visitors to the farm who often comment on her goofy (and perfectly healthy!) teeth, short stature and the little white heart of her back.

 

She is confident in the herd but nervous of handling and head shy. We've found that CameliDynamics handling techniques have supported her to find trust again and we've managed to accomplish all of our routine husbandry tasks with more ease since handling her in this way. She started off screaming and cushing whenever we went near her head but now she’ll sometimes even manage to stay standing when checking her over for her routine monthly health checks. 

 

Naomi has never fallen pregnant and is now in her elderly lady era but is a fabulous auntie, always looking after the cria for other mums.

 

She is microchipped, BAS registered, comes with medical history and is fully up to date with husbandry and vaccinations.
